Outstanding Junior Faculty Award

The ECE Faculty Honors Committee solicits nominations of faculty members as candidates for recognition in six categories. Faculty colleagues only may submit nominations for these awards via the online form. The correspondence in the package should be addressed to the ECE Faculty Honors Committee. The Committee requests one pdf file containing the entire contents of the nomination package: a nominating letter, candidate résumé, and three letters of recommendation submitted via the online form. Only complete nomination packages will be accepted. Questions can be directed to Maryam Saeedifard.

This award is presented to an assistant professor. Previously, this award was presented to an assistant or associate professor but, due to creation of the Outstanding Mid-Career Faculty Award, it will now be presented to an assistant professor.

This award recognizes exceptional performance in research, teaching, and service as demonstrated, for example, by excellence in research authorship, extramural funding, graduate student mentorship, innovation in teaching, and outreach. This award consists of a $2,000 check and a plaque.
