The ECE Staff Awards Committee solicits nominations of classified staff, research faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and general faculty in three categories. Submissions can be completed by faculty and staff members only via the online form. Letters of support are encouraged for all awards and can be uploaded via the online form. The Academic Spotlight Award is presented to a researcher, classified staff member, or general faculty member who has made a significant contribution to the ECE teaching or academic program. This award will recognize excellent performance in support of ECE’s academic programs. These activities enhance the quality and/or reputation for excellence of ECE’s academic programs through achievements such as new external sponsorship of the academic programs, improved staff and faculty productivity, higher student retention, increased admissions yield, and reduction in average time to graduate, which are achievements beyond normal expectations for academic faculty and staff. This award consists of a $2,000 check and a plaque.
