Electrical Engineering Junior Scholar Award

The ECE Student Awards Committee solicits nominations of outstanding students in six categories. In addition, seven more undergraduate awards will be chosen and given by the School of ECE and by the Eta Kappa Nu Honor Society, and an eighth – the Colonel Oscar P. Cleaver Award – will be determined by the ECE Graduate Committee.

Faculty and staff members only can submit nominations via the online form. Questions can be directed to Professor Durgin.

Additional awards are given by either the Eta Kappa Nu honor society or the ECE Graduate Committee. These honors are as follows:

This award is given to the electrical engineering student who has junior standing and has the highest GPA in ECE. This award recognizes academic strength and dedication of a student who is about to enter his or her senior year of study at Georgia Tech. This award consists of a $500 check and a plaque.

This award was first presented in 2019, recognizing the most outstanding electrical engineering junior. The previous recipients listed above were presented with the award when it was known as the ECE Junior Scholar Award, where the recipient was chosen from among all electrical engineering and computer engineering sophomores.
